We were diving, you know

December 22nd, 2013, 11pm

It was 9°C with few clouds. The breeze was light.

No, honestly.

The first digital camera I ever bought is laughably old school now. Though only ten years old it’s so far behind spec-wise, it wouldn’t even count as a toy camera anymore. Still it’s got one serious advantage over all it’s successors: it’s my only camera I can take underwater. Not because it’s ruggedized - it just fits into a cleverly designed satchel of clear plastic which can keep the water out for some time down to three mighty meters below the surface.

To make this shot, it took even less.

A very hot summer day. You wanted to show me that special spot in the rivulet where you could be fully submersed. We went into the water, on three we dove, and I took a few shots.

Some of my decisions look adventurous in hindsight.
