I had never been to Lithuania, so this prompted me to plan a trip to Lithuania. I hadn’t heard amazing things about Vilnius, but I discovered that nearby, was a lake and castle, so I spent two nights here one weekend.

I hoped that being in the middle of nowhere, I might get a change to see the stars. Not quite like in the US or Iceland, but at least a brief glimpse. Luckily, my planning paid off and it was even clearer than I had expected.

I always think that seeing an orange castle in the middle of a lake beneath the Milky Way makes for a good photo.
