Neighbourhood coffee shop where I have lunch occasionally, never coffee. Sunken into a comfy chair. Jazz piano music, French vocals.

March 25th, 2014, 1pm

It was 10°C with few clouds. There was moderate breeze.

The French piano jazz song, it turns out, was on repeat. This wasn’t the first time that this particular coffee shop had looped a single song. The last time was with a different song, at least. (Maybe they subscribe to a “Only One Song a Day” music streaming service.) What do I do in that situation? Do I tell them, only to have them say “Oh, we know”? If they don’t realize it, do I embarrass them by pointing it out in front of the other customers? Or do I just leave? (Which was what I did.) This feels like a lose, lose, lose situation.
