Should I really feel guilty for this? Should I really feel ashamed of myself? Is it bad being somewhat introverted? Someone who actually enjoys being alone sometimes? Don’t get me wrong I love socializing and hanging out with friends but I do need alone time too. And some people expect a little too much from me. I want all of this bullshit to end now. I sure hope grown ups don’t act like this.

I feel that it’s important to really have a healthy relationship with yourself, know yourself, allow your true colors to show and strive to become a better version of yourself each day. Don’t stop. Treat yourself as if you were your actual best friend, all those harsh words you throw at yourself whilst standing in the mirror, or when you messed up. Would you really say all that to a best friend if they messed up? Let’s say they got really nervous on a job interview and messed it up, they’re telling you this and blaming themselves. Was it their fault? Most likely, but they’ve already realized their wrong doing and they now need to grow from their mistake. So what I would do in this situation is to encourage and support my dear friend, and I’m sure you would too. So why treat yourself differently? Think about it. At the end of the day you always have yourself, if you like it or not. So learn to really really love it. You are one of a kind. Unique. Amazing. Ambitious. And strong.

Friendship isn’t one big thing, it’s a million little things

Hello, fellow authors! I'm just a kid with a passion for writing really unplanned, messy and imperfect texts. I hope to improve my writing skills, and also read others work. Have a nice day! xo
