Monterey was a surprise. That humbled me with it’s beauty. Then Point Lobos- I didn’t think anything so perfect could exist. Winding trails, each turn, unimagined beauty. The smell of the pines, the sound of the sea… I crushed bits of sage and rubbed it in my hands, a scent that is just there to experience. It is so human to take pictures, to try and capture this. I sat and watched for as long as I could, so thankful.
