A Film about Coffee was the movie I truly looked forward to.
Attending the first Japan premiere last week, I had a chance to discuss with people from Avocados and Coconuts, a production boutique based in SF.
Then Natalie, a member of Avos, said editor’s job is killing director’s babies. Babies indicate footages that directors want to protect. Babies are directors’ blood, sweat, and tears. But if you can’t kill them, you lose all your objectiviy and ruin the films.
I totally agreed with her.
