I had wandered around this lake during the day and thought it was cool, but not as amazing as I was hoping it would be. I went the whole way around it, up to the castle and back down to the village.

I had already planned where the sun would come up and booked the only guest house on the right side of the lake for it. At 05:00, I got up for sunrise, went down to the waters edge and waited patiently.

Thankfully, it was one of the best sunrises I have seen. Not so much for the cloud cover, but for this magnificent light and mist across the lake and over the mountains.

And before you question me, yes, this place really does exist.
