I'm blocked but I am still writing .... Advising myself as I go..

You see the problem with writing in first person is that you can’t be God. You can’t see all the characters and decide their fate. You have only one character’s fate to decide and one character around whom every other life revolves. He must see otherwise you don’t see. He must hear otherwise you don’t hear. He must feel otherwise you don’t feel. He must think otherwise you don’t think. You have to bring him( the character) to that place… where both of you become one. So that you can really hear his innermost thoughts and be able to follow the story he is trying to tell. Because be assured every individual’s story is interesting, but it must be told well. It must be told sincerely. And scenes somewhat rearranged to give readers a God-eye into certain events in the character’s life.

I write. I sketch. I mull over things and I think about alternatives. http://incitedrafts.wordpress.com @sammidelali
