I took this shot just over a year ago, when I was on a tour of the Pacific North West with Greg Annandale and Dave Morrow. This is a moody night scene above Lost Lake and Mount Hood in Oregon, USA.

We arrived during the dark, as I missed my first flight to the States due to ESTA problems, so I had to get a flight the next morning. Luckily this had much less of a stop-over in JFK, so I only lost a few hours.

We wandered around the lake all night taking photos until our sunrise shoot the next morning. Then we drove to Crater Lake and shot sunset there, followed by some astrophotography until the wee hours. I’ve never been so tired in my life.
