5. Kutná Hora, a town known mostly for the Bone Cathedral and playing second fiddle a double story baroque church

September 22nd, 2015, 11pm

Met up with Jason (housemate) and Lien (his gf) today at the Old town square before heading out on an adventure (paid tour) to Kutna Hora. Known for it’s Silver mine which brought vast wealth to the Bohemia. Did a lot of walking. Did a lot of seeing. And to sum it up, Kutna Hora - cool story but it’s mostly about The Sedlec Ossuary (Bone Chapel). It was an eventful day which included catching a train from Prague HBF, walking, taxi’ing and another train home. If we hadn’t done the tour I’d hate to think how effective we would have been or how lost and desolate we would have felt. I spent a large proportion of the trip talking to an American girl named Sarah who was living in Madrid Spain for the past 2 years teaching English and some other subject I forgot at a bilingual school. I also did talk to other tour peeps who ended up being mostly from Australia.

During the day three realisations came to me. 1./ How much I regret not travelling to study or work and 2./ That I should set myself a goal of talking to at least one young female each day as a way to overcome my social awkwardness around strangers - particularly young attractive females…..3./ Maybe I should consider going overseas for an extended period to immerse myself and learn a new language and culture.

All big headfucks to mull and think about…..

Oh I also learned that Bohemia is not some Jamaican thing. Bohemian’s were what Czechs were known as in the old days before being known as Czechoslovakia and now Czech Republic after they parted way with their Slovakian brothers. Bohemian Rhapsody suddenly takes on a different meaning now…

Beauregard said thanks.
