A day of great contrasts...

October 27th, 2013, 10am

At 10.00am this morning as I walked to church to prepare for our morning service, the sky was a beautiful clear blue, with the flag atop our village flagpole dancing in the breeze.

By 1.00pm on my way down to the coast we had passed through some brief but heavy rain, leaving a bright and beautiful double rainbow in the sky: rainbow.jpg

And by 4.00pm it was blowing such a gale along the coast that it was hard to stand upright to take a picture of the building waves: waves.jpg

Now I’m back home again, and the rain is lashing down, with the TV weatherman warning of widespread disruption to rush hour travel in the morning.

I think I may well be working from home tomorrow!
