Sometimes it's not what's underneath- it's the stuff they stick on top of it.

This was in Toronto. Couldn’t tell you what the facade was like underneath all of this- but it sure was exuberant on the outside. Reminds me of my job as art director- when a client wants everything ‘bigger and bolder’- ‘make it really ‘pop’- and you just don’t even know if it’s possible. Pretty soon EVERYTHING is bigger and bolder.

And sometimes it actually works.
