When I was studying in Manchester for four years, I used this station every few months to get between university and home, further south near London. I also used it as my gateway to adventures in places like Edale, in the Peak District, and even such exotic climes as Leeds, or Bolton!

It’s always nice to use the station - perhaps it’s just my familiarity with it, but it’s become a favourite.
