In Boulder, I thought I lived in a community where something was always going on - well, I was, but Cambridge seems to take this to an overclocked embarrassment of riches, and if I venture out of my new little campus enclave into the rest of Boston metro, it’s overwhelming in the best possible way.
Chomsky, sadly, was virtually unintelligible due to bad micing and my perch in the balcony, but Greenwald had a number of great points stashed away, and even just watching the crowd was illustrative: peaceniks and hackers and libertarians, hanging out, outraged and inspired. We live in interesting times.
