As she was preparing herself to join in the crowd, she wanted to take a moment to practice her steps. Although she is only four years of age she wants to do things the right way. As she was warming up before the Grand Entry at the Pow Wow she looked as though she was in deep thought. I captured this picture of her wondering what it was she was thinking about. Once she takes an interest in something she will focus on it and just breath it in and let it out. She did an amazing job participating in the jingle dress category. My granddaughter lifts me up and inspires me when she takes on a challenge, and to be able to dance in front of hundreds of spectators truly amazes me. As children have a magical way of bringing out the inner child in an adult, at that moment you remember to allow yourself to just take it all in and enjoy what the creator has given us. She loves insects such as dragonflies, butterflies and ladybugs to name a few, so her kookum put butterflies on her outfit and she was so happy with it.
