Kanpai ... 乾杯

March 16th, 2014, 5pm

Yamanashi is land of peaches (Momo 桃 or モモ). Starting Sunday evening with a refreshing sip of unfiltered, aromatic Peach Wine.

It gives me the same feeling of fresh Toddy1, with different levels of sweetness and sourness.

I was not so sure about enjoying wine from Tokkuri2. But I picked it up without a second thought for the joy of Kanpai3.

  1. Indian wine from Coconut or Palm

  2. Usually Sake is enjoyed in a ceramic serving flask called Tokkuri (徳利) and drinking cups named Choko (猪口)

  3. 乾杯 Kanpai (“Dry the glass”, Japanese way of Toast)
