Cider, but not with Rosie

March 21st, 2014, 9pm

Far better - it was with my wife Andrea!

We were living it up at the Goodwood Hotel - enjoying a present of dinner, bed and breakfast from my in-laws. It certainly gave us an insight into how the other half lives!

The home of events such as Glorious Goodwood and The Festival of Speed, Goodwood attracts the rich and famous, although we saw none of the latter when we were there (but certainly some of the former!). Our 13 year-old car looked very out of place in the car park, but I think we managed to blend in OK once inside.

Apparently the rich can’t close their own curtains or work out how to get into their beds, so they have a guy going round during the evening offering the turn down service. We said ‘Yes’ of course, but found it all very funny!

The food was good, as was the cider.

But I never did meet Rosie.

Lia and David Wade said thanks.
