One third of food we produce is just wasted

January 25th, 2014, 9pm

We have optimum utilization of everything. This includes car sharing, revenue sharing; profit and loss sharing but we have no mechanism for food sharing. Everyday millions of tonnes of food are completely wasted because there is no mechanism to collect it and put it to optimum use.

While there are many ways food wastes are used, there are few ways how it can reach the nearest hungry soul. It is used to extract energy, or to measure the waste or some economic benefits

Can you believe almost 33% of all food is just wasted? Look at this BBC Report which says we all are responsible for this waste. There are many ways how we waste the food. Here is a comprehensive look by expert panel of the UN Committee on World Food Security

While there are global alliances for everything, we have little time in understanding how this waste can be utilized to feed the millions who are hungry.
