A Night at the Ballet: Santa Fe Style VIII

July 15th, 2014, 2pm

We had a wonderful night at the Ballet recently. The dancing was inspired; the choreography (by Jiri Kylian and 2 others) was riveting; and I was especially impressed by how much the lighting and backdrops enhanced the show! This company, along with the SFe opera, the Sfe Pro Musica, the SFe Symphony, and the SFe chamber music festival, are all reasons why I sometimes think of pulling up stakes and moving to Santa Fe. And now the company has taken under its wing a local Flamenco dance company. (I’ve never been a particular fan of the dance form but do love flamenco guitar.) There are other music venues of course including the cathedral and the wonderful old Lensic theatre.
