Arriving at the office I'm noticing fall is starting two or three days early this year.

The autumnal equinox isn’t until Sunday. Usually in the North State, autumn weather arrives around Halloween, but today it’s breezy and cooler than usual. The Sycamores are a total mess when they drop, as the leaves are like thick sheets of paper. Raking them is backbreaking work, and I am thankful that there aren’t any near my house.
