Dilapidated

April 5th, 2016, 2pm

It was 6.1°C. The breeze was gentle.

You broke me, Ripped me in two, Four, and six pieces, The sheet rock, Holey from every lie.

You defaced me, Spray painted poison words, Made me a chewed up piece of gum that no one wants.

You ripped out upholstery, A white with little lavender flowers spiraling out from the center, And stained it red.

You destroyed me, Father, and made me broken, But I was rebuilt, And am stronger than ever.

You broke me, But you did not kill me.

I survived.
