Summer in Mongolia means going to the countryside as often as possible. Better yet, send the kids and keep them out of trouble.

July 21st, 2013, 11am

It was 20°C with few clouds.

There are lots of kids in the family, and they all grow up spending time in the countryside. When they’re little, they just get to explore. As they grow older, they’re responsible for watching the little ones. As they grow even older, they’re responsible for helping out. This is how they learn to be good people. I love it.

Andrew, Amal, Thom and Gitte said thanks.

I live in Mongolia, write, raise a kid, try to do the right thing, and avoid eating horse meat.
