It was 12°C with broken clouds. The breeze was gentle.
Two women sat in a cafe talking about the ways of the world. A man, the partner of one of the women, chimed in every now and then. The conversation carried on at a pleasant gait.
I sat opposite this conversation, across the room on a bench with pillows on it and casually eavesdropped. I don’t know if that’s right or wrong, but it’s something I like to do.
When the chatter turned from changing careers in your 30s to one woman’s previous life in fashion, the other suddenly spoke up.
“There is nothing more sexy than a man wearing a white linen suit”, she stated.
I don’t think anybody in the room agreed with her.
