This is the Moscow metro system. It's busy, but very beautiful. A bit like myself.

To tell you the truth, I wasn’t too enamoured with Moscow. This may have been partly due to the weather being grey for nearly the entire time. Another problem was the fact that you have to queue for hours for everything remotely touristy. And then discover it’s not actually that good. Thankfully, one of the best things about the city is almost free and you don’t need to queue; the metro system.

This is Mayakovskaya, an Art Deco / Futurism styled station on the Zamoskvoretskaya Line of the Moscow Metro. I had gotten up at around 05:00 and walked to this station for opening time, just so I could have a chance to take some photos with no people in them. It ended up being reasonably busy at this time, but I managed to get by. This was actually my first station of the day and I continued on with about another six before heading topside for some overly-expensive breakfast and unreliable WiFi.
