These signs are scattered throughout Osaka and I confess that until I took this photo I hadn’t bothered to really look at it properly. I’d always assumed that it meant that you couldn’t park a bicycle in the area but it appears to be focused more on people abandoning their bicycles. I could imagine how that might be a problem. Collecting large pieces of garbage is expensive and the temptation to just ride it somewhere, get off and walk away must be too much for some people. Now that there’s a sign on the ground, though, I’m sure it’ll be no problem.
