If we were to believe that the stories and tales we are told all throughout our childhood are actual events that have happened sometime in the past and the only reason for our forefathers to etch them in the way they are told in the fables with a striking and distinct right and wrong, good and evil, is to learn a lesson from them, then as storytellers as well as listeners, we must be careful. When we tell someone a story as a lesson for the psyche and the soul, we are weaving our beliefs, biases, perceptions and personal interpretations in the fabric of those stories to be passed on to the generations. In doing so we are unmistakably carving the foundations of the beliefs and viewpoints of a whole new set of generations to come. It is decisive to be extra wary of how we put our thoughts because the tale that we are telling shall very likely take residence in someone’s soul, who will imbibe it as their self and purpose. Words like that have power to do the impossible and that is why it should be sensibly articulated.
