Gone fishingNormandy, N49 10' - E01 35' 56"

August 28th, 2013, 6pm

It was 23°C with clouds and visibility OK. The breeze was light.

The Normands are famed, and mocked, for their inability to decide between yes and no, surf or turf. On their western shore, their grow carrots in the sand, meters from the sea, and mussels in the water but no too far from the land. Tractors are used to harvest both. The rest of Normandy is best known for cows, cream, apples and D-Days. The very first military landing occured here 1000 years ago; the fierce looking and ill mannered Vikings soon merged with the rest of the population. they dropped the axe for the hoe, the French king offered his daughter to calmed down the Danish warrior who couldn’t decide anymore what to do. Such is life in western Normandy.

Paul and Cassie said thanks.
