Nikau fern sculpture on water

It was 19°C with few clouds.

The Nikau reminds us that we are a Pacific nation - though we are too far south to be called ‘tropical’ - at least for now…. I love pruning Nikau- their fronds are supported by thick but almost hollow arms. - there is a wonderful crunching noise when they are cut
