There are the Chicago beaches you see in B-Roll footage of Lake Shore Drive, and there are neighborhood beaches.Those shots of the overcrowded scenes at Oak Street and North Ave Beach, densely nestled at the north end of Michigan Avenue, are perfectly fine. But they are a small slice of the grander beachfront along Lake Michigan. "The Lake front by right belongs to the people," declared the Plan of Chicago.
