My dad is the typical guy that is loyal to certain restaurants… for years. In Amsterdam he and my mom always loved to go to Kantjil & Tijger. Every time there was a trip to Amsterdam, at least one evening had to be at Kantjil & Tijger!
I found out about Kartika through my boyfriend, and was incredibly surprised (best peanut sate sauce yummmmmm)! But I had to go there a few times before I dared to invite my father for dinner - great excuse by the way.
Well yesterday we all went there.. and then there was the moment of truth: he loved the service (the waiter is really kind and attentive), liked the location and agreed that the food was good.. hahaha he defended his favourite place saying Kartika was “different and had a homey taste” so yeah pretty good. HAHA he just can’t admit it! But I’m sure he will still try to go o his beloved restaurant before he leaves in a few days ;)
