The older you get the harder it becomes to retain information - it just spills from you head like from an overfilled glass. Note-taking is the only way to remember anything, especially the steps of a choreography. And still, only practice can make the info stick to your head.
My triumph today was that I managed to recall this crazy 1930s choreography called “The Big Apple” that I learnt just a month ago and yet was already forgetting. Word of advice, though: do not attempt to dance such crazy routines in the middle of a heatwave - you risk having a stroke!
