We enjoyed a fun-filled day in Portland, where we rode our bikes (including our pup!) through the Pearl and Alphabet Districts, downtown, and Portland State University. We admit, we fell a little in love with the bike-friendly nature of the area. We’re not sure Seattle is as bike-happy as Portland, but we hope it comes close. The next day, we drove up to Astoria to visit the Goonies house and to drive across the longest continuous truss bridge in North America, the Astoria-Megler Bridge. After we cross that, we’ll be in Washington! It’s hard to believe, but our days on this cross-country adventure are winding down.
