A few thousand miles mean nothing.

It was 9°C. The wind was calm.

It’s been five years since a silly little roleplay forum brought us together and it’s amazing we haven’t throttled each other for all the crazy we scream/shriek/squeal/forever capslock-text each other over a group chat that hasn’t stopped since we first got smart phones. It isn’t the first time I’ve received fun things in the mail from either of them, and I don’t ever want it to be the last. One of these days, I’ll send some of the letters I’ve written to them in secret, but I never have stamps! I’ll remedy that eventually. This time, more iron supplements, more chocolatey things (that didn’t melt for once), and a hilarious t-shirt that I probably shouldn’t wear to class…

The first time we met in person, it felt like just another trip between friends visiting each other from long-distance. There was nothing awkward or scary or nerve-wracking about it. Only now, I miss them terribly and wish I could see them on a regular basis, not just Facetime or our group chat, but whenever I want. When I graduated Massage Therapy school next year, I plan on making a road trip across the bloody country to see them again. I miss you guys, you mean the world to me.

Mariah, j. and Christine said thanks.
