Frankfurt, the ideal metropolis?

It was 8°C with few clouds. The breeze was light.

Only 20 minutes out of this center of the Frankfurt-Rhein-Main area and you find yourself in fields or forests, and only some planes in the distance are a reminder that one of the busiest airports of Europe is only half an hour away (not like Tokyo, where it takes you 2.5 to get from Narita to anywhere in the city that is not directly linked to the sky-train.)

It feels surreal to see the skyline like this, as if there is not much in between. I only know this view from Manhattan with all of New Jersey in between …
