In the calm of gratitude.

April 11th, 2015, 3pm

It was 39°C with few clouds. The wind was light.

Sometimes I take out moments; just random bits of prosaic, ordinary minutes out of my mundane days to hit pause and do nothing but listen; and in absolutely astounding yet innocently modest ways, the force that drives us all through finds a way to revere my momentary pause the way I do.

How many times have you not just held on to a moment, still, to listen to the calm of the drizzle pour over you, or the warmth of the early morning sun soak you? As simple as these things may be, my soul reverberates everytime I give in to these little moments of solitude. There is something about these, unmistakably beautiful bits of serenity that I am perhaps yet to learn, and this moves me nevertheless, makes me wonder in awe, and inevidently makes me grateful.

There is indeed an undeniable gratification in the fact that often there is nothing more that I need than a gentle breeze and a soothingly delicate rustle of the leaves on waving branches for my soul to feel right at home.
