Mosque of Ibn Tulun, nearly destroyed, was chosen by Ibrahim Pasha to become a hospital. Abbas Pasha removed the workers for his country house on the road to Matarié. Huge courtyard; aisle with pointed arches, upheld by long, square pillars, flanked at the four corners by a column.
