It has been an honour to be part of the people using Hi while it was on private beta. A couple of days before it became public, Craig Mod asked me to do a drawing for the introduction. A drawing of a stack of pancakes. Mr. Mod proved to be an exigent art director with a clear idea in his mind and I gently let go and followed his lead, as the pancakes were meant to be the main idea behind his article. There are few things more satisfying (to me, that is) than help create a union between text and images. I’m very glad the Hi pancakes have a face. Even when someone already said they look like potato chips. Oh well…

There is a dressing room in a public bath. Scales to measure the weight of the baby was put.
Good old culture of public bath remains in Japan. And functions as a meeting place of the town.
Walking in the neighborhood and reread the plaque by the Jizo statue. It'll be 300 years old in 2016.
