Worth the laziness

Why do we work? Why do we earn money? Well, the answer is simple. You work to eke out a living and the answer to the second question is also the same. Depending on the income levels, standards may vary. But is there any fixed timing that we should stop working? For most of us there is no such limit. We work as long as we can. We earn money as far as we can. We stop working only when we are bed ridden. Why so?

This article by Bertrand Russel is worth a read. Ideally I feel everyone should retire at a time when they feel they have enough financially to sustain them for rest of their life. Do not earn for your siblings/children. Do not let them inherit a fortune so that they do not have an iota of knowledge how to do the hard work. Having said this, it is a big question whether I will be able to do this. May be I can always try.
