For three years in a row, Melbourne has been deemed the world’s most liveable city as surveyed by The Economist Intelligence Unit. To get this rating, the EIU scores each city on over 30 qualitative and quantitative factors, across five broad categories:

Stability
Healthcare
Culture and environment
Education
Infrastructure

In other words, we know what makes great cities. We know how to live ‘the good life’. But, if capitalism or socialism are allowed to run rampant . . .
