A close-up of my dress for the conference dinner. A successful conference and lovely end to the week with dinner at Raffles, well, once I was allowed in. The organiser were being sticklers for the rules, and because we weren’t given tickets, I wasn’t allowed in until my colleague turned up with the email confirming our booking. I looked a bit sad hanging out in the verandah section, looking at the party in the courtyard. One of the organisers felt sorry for me and brought over a glass of wine, but I think that made me look sadder and as if I was trying to gatecrash the party.

And thanks to one of the conference attendees for keeping me company until Cinderella could go into the ball!
