From an era when the height of fashion was a sandal with carved decoration not spring heels and sport icon signature

I am a barefoot minimalist runner, using a similar sandal known as the huarache, brought to prominence by the tarahumara Indians in the book Born to Run.

My sister whilst travelling to southern sudan organizing land for an orphanage, upon spying these ancient footwear sent me the photo.

It remind us all that that “nothing is new under the sun “
