It was the first spring rain and I decided that it was time to put my hardly ever worn rain boots to good use, so I headed towards State street, umbrella in tow.
For someone who comes from a country with only two seasons - wet and dry- I find it hard to appreciate the rain. The puddles and mud, wet socks and shoes… not to mention it can be the biggest trip and party pooper ever.
But tonight I gave it a chance… a little rain shouldn’t hurt.
It was just a light drizzle when I left my apartment but when I was done with my Target run it decided to break into a shower.
I decided to wait it out at this very spot, watching and listening to the pouring rain. I’ve waited in the rain a million times so this should be something so familiar. But for the first time, this constant pitter-patter was actually quite soothing.. calming.. It felt good.
Vertigo
It was the end. Maybe not the very end, but 'an' end.
Every city has their ups and downs. The longer you visit, the more downs you start to notice.
