Another day, another city. Today, a country and city I have not visited before so I was excited to see what it was like. I’d not heard many good things about it, either from people who have lived there, come from there or visited often.

My first introduction wasn’t good though - from the bureaucratic visa-obtaining process (there are no instructions so I was pleased to be with someone who had been before), to the constant hassle from porters or other ‘helpful’ people, to the inefficient baggage retrieval (we spent a good two hours in the airport from touchdown) and aggressive drivers and infamous Jakarta traffic jams.

Chaotic and frenetic is the only way to describe it!
