I never got over the irony of politicians who wants to eliminate caste from the society. Not a single step to this direction is evident. This morning when I read an item that Rajkot cops are now removing Caste Stickers from vehicles, I thought for a moment, a step in the right direction may just have got embarked. Ahir, Rajput, Patidar, Thakor, Jai Goga etc forms part of this sticker revolution which can even be seen in state owned transport buses which goes on to show the state was a silent partner in this divide. Saurashtra and North Gujarat are far ahead in the vulgar display of castes. So much so legend is that a Rabari Pilot refused to fly the plane till a Jai Goga sticker is not painted on the front portion of the aircraft.
