Brush off dirt and dog hairs. Take out the laces. Put the shoes and the laces in a washable bag. Put the washable bag with the shoes and the laces in the washer with a towel. Don’t put more stuff in there. Don’t use too much laundry detergent. Cold water keeps color or glue intact. Air drying prevents shrinkage. Put newspaper in the shoes to maintain the shape and speed up drying time.
I bet I could appreciate Norway if I learned to mentally separate culture and nature.
