I was introduced to Moriyamaya by a friend from work and find myself eating there at least once a week. The shop promotes its curry as ‘Indian’ and it’s certainly closer in taste to that than traditional Japanese curry.
While the food is good, I think I mostly keep coming back to enjoy the atmosphere of the place. The inside of the restaurant is festooned with soul music memorabilia. What does that have to do with Indian curry? No idea. But that’s part of the charm.
Please stand back from the edge. Please be mindful of the yellow line. Please form a queue. Please be patient.

And here I thought taking the bus meant roughing it.
McDonald's Japan; my saving grace. So long Okayama. It's been... special.
Hello, Okayama. Your trains are like a comfortable version of Cal-Train. Nostalgia.
Kinkakuji, each vista on the path is progressively more breathtaking.
