A cold, foggy day in Krakow, Poland. A market Square, St. Mary's Basilica. Lines awaited tourists who wanted to take a magical ride thru the city.

This was actually a trip I took as part of a “Jewish Heritage Tour.” I decided to take a tour of Auschwitz and of Schindler’s Factory. After that I had time to wander the city, and ended up at St. Mary’s Basilica. There they had horse drawn carriages for hire, and watching them emerge from the fog was pure magic, dazzling white horses pulling cheery “sleds!”. I took a photo of the taxi line up waiting riders. The backdrop of the foggy basilica was wonderful, makes one think they are in another time….this photo was actually printed in the travel section of the LA Times and they wanted to know what camera I used..hahah a celphone camera!!!
