At a school BBQ I discovered how the bat impacted all of us

September 12th, 2013, 8pm

It was 23°C with scattered clouds. The breeze was brisk.

This is my son’s artwork accompanying a story about what he did this summer. We had so many fun adventures: two trips to Sauble Beach, a week at Grandma’s, long geocaching hikes, and boating/tubing/off-roading with his uncle.

But his what-I-did-this-summer story was about the bat in our bedroom and how we all had to get rabies vaccinations. I guess I am not surprised. It was a shocking experience.

Still, it was a bit of a standout on the classroom board next to pretty pictures of his classmate’s summer vacations.

Paul, David Wade, Lia, Cassie and 2 others said thanks.
