Darkhan’s main events happen in the plaza outside the Children’s Theatre. Every year there are ice sculptures and a giant tree up for New Year’s. Last year’s ice sculptures were a bit more impressive, with all the excitement of the Year of the Blue Horse in the horse-obsessed land of the Eternal Blue Sky. Mongolians like sheep too though. 2015 should work out just fine.
