Every week I like to draw a couple of abstract illustrations with no initial idea or concept. I just try to focus on simple shapes and lines, and let their forms guide the direction of the illustration. I always use one color, so I don’t get distracted by others.
After drawing a lot like this, I noticed that they tend to change based on the angle my hands are at - and even how I’m thinking or feeling. I like to think that they’re some sort of diary or expressive map of my mind.
Is this what we are? Our photos turn our lives into just a bunch of colours on somebody's infographic?
